Accent Printing Solutions Celebrates Curémonos’ Third Anniversary

  • Written by Printing Professional

Curémonos, a Northern New Jersey nonprofit organization providing support and education for medically underserved women facing breast cancer, celebrated its Third Anniversary on May 4th with its annual gala. Accent Printing Solutions was proud to participate in the event as a business donor.

The event was held at the Park Ave Club and paid tribute to breast cancer survivors and supporters of the organization. Speakers included U.S. Senator Robert Menendez and Dr. Peter Hyans, a plastic and reconstructive surgeon.

Taking its name from the word in Spanish meaning “to heal together,” Curémonos strives to empower Latina women battling breast cancer through education and support. The organization provides everything from transportation, to appointments, to advocacy with hospitals and doctors. Volunteer translators also help to provide vital care information in Spanish. Dora Arias, founder of the organization, stated that demand for assistance is increasing so additional funding is needed to provide services. Her goal is to help at least 500 women per year by attracting larger donors.
